One size does not fit all, and one teaching method does not suit every lesson or child. Our teachers pay close attention and develop caring relationships with our students, allowing for changes in teaching methods to meet the social, emotional, and educational needs of kindergarten aged children.

As such, our carefully-planned early education and play based learning environments are rich in stimulating resources that provide opportunities for children to learn. Our aim is to nurture their powers of discovery, imagination and creativity under the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

A PLACE FOR SOCIAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Kindoo! offers children of different backgrounds space and time to learn how to live and co-operate together.

Each child experiences appreciation in the collaborative planning of daily activities, in dealing with different interests and the resolution of conflicts. Children learn to take responsibility, get familiar with diverse social backgrounds and beliefs, and develop curiosity, openness, understanding, and tolerance in a multicultural society.

A PLACE FOR STIMULATING CHALLENGES

Children need various stimulating challenges so that they can learn with joy, keep up their curiosity, and feel a sense of pride about what they have learned and achieved.

We provide Kindoo! Kids with opportunities to explore the world, to experiment and cooperate; and review through play and interaction with his or her peers. Every child deserves time, space and competent support through qualified early childhood educators and age appropriate resources.

Each child develops differently. The observation of your child and the evaluation of her or his developmental progress are core elements of our team’s professional work. Observations allow our teachers to support your child’s learning and development individually and in the best possible way. Results of observations are carefully documented and form the basis for regular consultations with you.

A PLACE FOR DISCOVERING SCIENCE AND NATURE

Children are curious by nature.

Kindoo! educators grow the understanding and development of maths and scientific connections and supports interest and talents in natural sciences and technology through:

giving every child time and space to discover, research, construct and experiment on their own;
providing various everyday materials to be used for play and building; and
discovering nature, our world and the environment together with the children,

A PLACE FOR MOVEMENT AND THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH

Children naturally want to move and be active. Movement and the related senses are both basis and catalyst for life experience and learning processes. It is especially important for kindergarten aged children as it can help support and grow their self esteem

Sport and movement activities are integral parts of our daily program (e.g. breathing activities, yoga stretches and basic ball skills). Our educators encourage children to assess the need for activity and relaxation for themselves.

Health and nutrition are essential elements of the physical and mental well-being and growth of a child too. We highly encourage you to offer healthy, nutritious, age appropriate meals from home- not only to cater to the individual needs of your child but to also showcase healthy eating options to their peers. Education on health and nutrition related themes are an important part of our early learning programs. We participate in the Nude Food Program, more details on which can be found in K! Mag.

A PLACE FOR THE GROWTH OF THE SENSES AND CREATIVITY

Kindoo! is a place where children can develop their senses and their creativity. Music, yoga, the expressive arts and construction are important means of human expression. They help us achieve inner balance and peace.

Children’s creative abilities and extraordinary perception blossom into their very own understanding of the world, influenced by the development of feelings and physical sensitivities.

Music equally stimulates thinking, feeling and interaction and has a positive influence on the mental, spiritual and emotional development of children.

The expressive arts, as well as building and constructing and imagination play belong to the essential needs of human beings and are excellent kindergarten activities for your child. Construction processes are cognitive processes and have shown to benefit mental and physical development.
