It’s been a very busy couple of weeks and finally the Kindoo! Ferntree Gully Campus is taking shape.

The builders have been busy installing some fabulous new sliding doors that let in lots more light, putting up the playground fencing, installing brand new bathroom facilites and hanging new plaster walls.

It’s also been exciting to watch the plans for   our very special natural playground and outdoor education area become a reality.

The first pieces of equipment have now gone in- a recycled mud kitchen and a climbing tower made from some of trees felled from the block look fantastic. The landscapers have also been busy planting over 350 native trees, shrubs and grasses that will provide more shade, animal habitats and educational opportunities than the car park that was previously there!

While there are a few remaining items that need to be completed- floor sanding, installation of some of the fittings and painting, I’m happy to say that we are on track to invite the Department of Education to conduct its initial inspection by late April/ early May.

Fingers crossed for a May opening! We will update you as soon as we know more so stay tuned!
